TOP OF SHOULDER: To measure for dress length run the tape measure from the collarbone to the hem or longest point.
BUST: Measure around the fullest part of your bust and across the shoulder blades. This is a key measure for tops and loose fitting dresses.
WAIST: Measure around the natural waistline keeping tape comfortably loose. This is a key measure for loose fitting skirts.
HIPS: Measure around the fullest part of the seat, approximately 22cm or 9" down from the waist. This is a key measure for trousers, jeans, narrow fitting skirts and dresses.
INSIDE LEG: Run the tape measure from the top of the inside leg at the crotch to the ankle bone.
RISE: To determine the rise on a pair of jeans, measure the distance between the crotch up the zipper to the button at the waist. Low rise is around 23cm, mid rise is around 25cm and high rise is around 27cm.
